Dude...it takes a little getting used to with the auto focus. You must remain still. Mine takes EXCELLENT photos!!

Two problems with those pictures:
1) Those are taken at 1600X1200 = 2MP
So the person did not select the 2048x1536 3MP in the menue.
2) Those pictures are taken indoors. They need to be taken outside to see the true camera quality.

HERES AN OUTDOOR ONE:
http://www.dablow.net/pics/howardforums/pic2.jpg »

the person taking these pictures is having trouble setting it to 3.2MP, he said its set to 3.2 but its taking them at 1600x1200 for some reason. Quite Odd.

Maybe you have to have a MicroSD card installed for the pics to save on there?

When you send the photos from the phone, it will re-size them to lower mp. To get the full 3.2 you must transfer by card.

I am new to this. I assume my phone did not come with such a card. Could you tell me where to get one, and possibly suggest one? Thanks so much!

How can you judge the camera quality based on all but one outdoor picture?

We don't even know if he turned AF on.

The outdoor pic is a little better, but overall those 1600x1200 pics look like poopy.

Curious to see a real 3.2mp image

No one seems to realize that the amount of megapixels is basically just the size of the photos. The real difference is mainly in the lens the camera uses. That's why camera phones have always and will in the near future be inferior to real digital cameras. Notice how blurry the photo is compared to any real digital camera. Even the old clunky Sony 1.2 megapixel cameras that use floppy disks take much better photos than that. So just because the phone has a higher MP does not mean it's going to be crystal clear. This phone takes generally the same quality photos as every 1.3 MP phone that I've seen (CMOS at least), and the 1.3 MP phones don't take that much better photos than the VGA phones.. it all depends on how good the camera and its lens...

I don't mean to be rude, but the person who took those photos needs to lay off the caffien for a little bit because the shadowing that is happening is from moving the camera. Because this phone has autofocus, there is about a 1.5 second delay from the time the buttom is pressed to when it takes the photo. In that time it looks like the camera was moved in those photos. I have taken numerous pics with the my VX9800 and if I'm not careful it does the exact same thing.
