Sony Ericsson W810

Maybe somebody can help me here..I installed wayfinder navigator on my branded w800i but it won't allow it to bluetooth connect to the GPS receiver-the permissions menu for local connectivity says "not available" when opened. I installed the same program on a friend's unlocked unbranded w600i and it worked fine..GPS and all. Anybody know what gives? Does Cingular's branding remove the ability to connect to a bluetooth GPS?
