w810i quick questions

sorry if these are dumb questions. but i am just trying to understand some things about my new phone. i used to have the w600, and i could use mp3's as ring tones. i have read differnt information on this site in how to do this for the w810i. one way was to cut down the size of the mp3. so does this mean that the cut down mp3 will be saved with the other mp3 that are saved on my phone, and will be played when i listen to my mp3 player? it is bad enough that i have to listen to the clips that came on the phone.
what is the dal on being able to watch movies on it? i had no idea. how do i do this?

I'm still learning with my new w810i from Cingular, but this is a nice phone. Yes you can do video, I compressed some movies to MP4.

And YES you can use MP3's as ringtones as long as they are short and not some crazy encoding. I guess Cingular believes you should answer the call and not listen to the music, so they get the airtime charges. :-) Less then 15 seconds should work. I just tried one to be sure.

I made the MP4's myself under Linux but most people have windows.
