I picked up a D807 today from the local Cingular store. Apparently this is the first day they are selling it.

I am enjoying it so far but I do have a few issues/questions if anyone can help me? The manual is not very detailed and this phone isn't listed on Samsungs web site.

1. Can you have it display the contacts in order by First Name? I tried to copy all my contacts from the sim card to the phone which worked, but then it displays each contact twice (once for sim, once for phone). I just did this as a backup, is there any way to make it ignore duplicates?

#1. I had similar problems with double copies of my contacts from the SIM card. I just went through and deleted the extras. As far in order...they are all in order (it probably just put entries out of order since it labeled them as "2").

#2 - Don't know.

#3 - My phone vibrates and rings. Go to Phone Settings, Incoming Call, and set it as "Vibrate & Ring".

#4 - Looks like they want everyone to buy their own headphones b/c nothing else would fit in that jack...and thus, it is a "jack"...and that cover piece is junky as well.

#5. Don't know.

I figured out the contacts thing. For some reason the contacts in my sim card were formated as: Last Name, First Name;M

It wasn't my phone doing that, it was just the way it was in the sim card. So I have to go through and correct all the names. Not the phones fault as far as I can tell.

I now have it set to vibrate and ring, I don't know how I missed that. Thanks!
