How do you add new words into the 'word' mode of text messaging.

if you don't mind me adding another question:

where in the settings can i make it so 'word' is my default text entry, instead of Abc? I hate having to switch to 'word' everytime.

Select the following

Menu
Messaging
Settings
All Msg
Entry Mode
Word

That should do it.
