A bit off topic, but why is it that just about every Samsung phone Sprint comes out with has a talk time of just 3 hours and requires you to buy an extended battery the size of a brick in order to avoid having to charge your phone every single day? You would think in this day and age, with technology being what it is, that someone would figure out that in order to pack that much into a cell phone, it needs to have a decent battery on it. Is it really that hard to do? I know that CDMA technology requires much more juice than GSM technology, but still..... the advancement of batteries lags so far behind the advancement of the phone, and Samsungs seem to be the worst. The Sanyo line up for Sprint isn't that bad battery-wise, but geesh.... You c...

um, an extended life battery is usually no more than a 1/2 thicker. Besides, with the exception of the 4920/4930 series, most phones have about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of talk time, regardless of the brand. Not only that, but phones now a day have larger external LCD, color, web, etc. all of which use more battery, yet the battery life is usually about the same or even more than older models.

A800 - 4 hours
A940 - 4 hours
A840 - 3.8 hours
A920 - 3.5 hours
A580 - 3.5 hours
A880 - 3.3 hours
A560 - 3.3 hours

The only two phones that have been released lately for sprint that have 3.0 hours battery life have been the A900 and the A960.

I've owned many of the above phones and have never, EVER had to bring my charger with me. I'm a rep in a sprint store, and I let customers use my phone to demo some features, and I am always using it. I have bluetooth connected all the time, I'm always on sprint TV and playing MP3's, and use the minutes too. I have never had to charge my phone during the day. I charge my phone every night out of convenience, but there are ...

Unless the chord is loose and it keeps making that annoying beep noise when you plug it in or unplug it. Then you have other problems though and it's not about your battery life anymore.
