Couple of questions on the 6700 before I get one...

ringer quality - I'm a man that likes a real loud music tone. How's the phone with music tones?

music quality - can it play music with out having head phones in?

call quality - anyone with alltel...how's it sound?

haven't used text on it yet, is it easy to use?

Any other tips or warnings would be cool. Thanks.

ringer quality - i am using some MIDI files that I downloaded off the net and they are pretty loud. I've heard louder, but you can definitely hear it.

music quality - you can listen to the music from the speakerphone. at the loudest setting, its kinda distorted. but when i'm just playing on the phone, it gets the job done. headphones (that come with the phone) are key though.

texting - very, very easy.

tips - you'll definitely want to do some minor registry hacks here and there.buying a memory card is strongly suggested. i hear the PPC 6700 for Sprint is a little better and more "open". Thats the model I have.

If you download and modify them (or download the right ones), the ringer tones are quite adequate.

The speaker on the phone is simply rancid. This is far and away the weakest part of the phone. I bought an iPod so I really don't care.

Call quality is good with VZW.

Text is incredibly easy with the slide out keyboard.
