Internal Memory / Mini SD Memory

I know all files should be stored on the Mini SD and all applications on the device itself. What if you run out of internal memory and want to install other applications? Any harm in installing these on the Mini SD itself? Will the program run properly if not stored on the internal memory? What applications SHOULD be stored on the internal memory versus the Mini SD?

Any recommendations on certain programs that are a must to have for this XV-6700?

I still have not received the 2 GB Mini SD I ordered on 2/02/06. I am planning ahead so I have the software when I finally receive my Mini SD.

Thank you to those responding.

I am running spd pocket plus and ms voice command on internal memory and memmaid on the storage card. That is all that I am running right now. I am looking at trying out 1 of the dvd converters and players though. I usually try to run off the memory card first and if it doesn't work remove and load onto internal memory. Make sure you back everything up first.

How is MS Voice Command working for you? What BT headset do you have? Do you have a need to touch the handset when making a call with the software?

First, it is not true that all applications should run off of internal memory. I think applications where you require a prompt response should run off of internal memory. Others, such as Adobe Reader, would likely serve you best running off of the SD Card. If you really load up the phone, you will not have sufficient internal memory to run all the applications there.

MS Voice Command works very well. I personally use the Jabra BT500 and have found it to be one of the best. Unfortunately, none of the BT headsets multifunction button will intiate or end a call with the XV-6700. You have to initiate the call and make the voice command into the phone itself. Once the call has connected, it does automatically switch to the BT Headset. T...
