i just got this phone so forgive if this has been covered...is there a way to make the alarm work better sound wise? The phone offer small lil sounds and they just wont cut it when im depending on it to wake me up. Hope there are ideas...

Under settings, sounds and notifications, you select the event Reminders and wav file that you want to play. You can check the repeat button which will repeat the sound.

i tried putting this in the windows folder but i cant seem to make it appear so i can select the .wav file.

I was incorrect about how to set the alarm. Once you have copied the MP3 in the \windows directory, go to Settings, System, Clock & Alarms, tap the bell, check Paly sound, and the MP3/WAV file should be in the drop down list.

does my file have to be wav or wma in order for it to show up in the drop down box? I have it as a mp3 file and it doesn't show up. once again thanks for the help.

Only .wav and .wma will work for alarm sounds I believe

It will convert if you use Active Sync Explorer and My Conputer Explorer to drag and drop a MP3 onto the Mobile Device. Otherwise, go find an WAV like wavsurfer.com or wavsite.com to find a sound to wake up to like Robin Williams 'Good Moring Vietnam'.

well i tried wma but it still doesn't show up in the alarm drop down box. Maybe im not putting it in the right folder? I put it in the windows folder where all the other alarm sounds are...Ill try .wav files next i guess

.wav files work, I've done it. I didn't think mp3 files work for alarms. To make the alarms louder, you can use an audio program such as wave pad to increase the amplitude. You can also use wave pad to clip mp3 files and convert them to .wav format.
