Adding DTMF and pauses to phone numbers

When I access my voice mail on a cell phone, I use a programmed phone number with a hard pause followed by my password. I normally speed dial the number then press the send key to send the # and my password, the normal way to access Verizon voice mail. I also use this to access my minutes used and my company voice mail

I have had my 6700 for a few days but am unable to program pauses or even get the contact phone number to accept the additional numbers. How do I program in pauses and additional password numbers?

Thank you

I spent an hour on the phone with tech support trying to figure this out. Here goes:

When programing your speedial, enter your initial (voicemail) number then press the letter p 3 times (ppp) followed by your password etc... Basicly the ppp is the pause function.

Note, when using this function to program your Verizon voicemail, remember to program the # button before your password.
(e.g. *86ppp#1234) The # button intiates the prompt for your password...

Hope this helps.

For the voicemail setting under the phone settings I use *86#w{password}# . no "{}" around the password. When I get prompted for a password I just press the joystick in and my password is entered.

Actually there is a better way to program that. 999-999-999TT1234# Insert mobile number then two TT's which stand for time pauses after that put the pass code to your voicemail then pound. That will illimate the need to push the joystick. *86 doesnt work in all locations. Try that out.
