WiFi for phone calls?

Can the WiFi on this phone be used for making phone calls (in an area with poor CDMA coverage) or is WiFi only for data transfer & web access?

if you can find the pocket pc VOIP software. Then in theory it should work. I have no reason to test this out right now because my signal is never below 2 bars where I go.
But I think sprint is working on a router with linksys to one day work with cell phones, so when you are at home it will do what you are asking. Switch to wifi mode for the stronger signal. *This is just a rumor I heard*
