Can the Dreaded Low Battery Warning be disabled ?

Has anyone found out if the Low Battery Warning sound that keeps repeating every 2 minutes can be quieted without turning the phone off ?

This is the only reason keeping me and my company from using Moto phones.

Please god , let them fix this in the software ?

When in silent mode the phone should be silent , right ?

I know! I hate this! I hate being treated like a child. It's not motorolas choice to remind ME that MY battery is dead. It's ridiculous and I will not buy one of their phones until they fix this problem. Get with it motorola!
