I sure hope this works the same for all of you who are experiencing problem's with the ring light's...the cause seems to be connected with the setting with "Display Themes" under display. If you leave the setting on "default", then every time you power down/up the phone...you'll have the ring light issue. (Unless of course you plug in the charger, or shut the cover right away when powering up the phone).

But when I put the setting to Blue, Business or Tropical and turned the phone off/on, the ring light option stayed on!! 😁 I tried it several times in all 3 setting's, and it works!

So to avoid the problem till the software upgrade, just don't keep the Display Themes setting to Default, and you'll be OK! 🙂

Great Work,It solved the one minor glitch in my girlfriend's otherwise great working phone.Blue is her favofite color anyway so it makes the UI menus even better to look at.The ringlights look cool in the dark. Now if VZW can just get us that software upgrade.... 😁

Thanks for finding the source of the Ring Light s/w glitch. I tried it on my phone and it works. Now I don't need to plug in my charger every time I have the problem. Great work 🙂

Yes...if you select blue, business or tropical under "display"...then look under "display themes". Just don't use "default" or you'll continue to have the ringlight issues. I have received feedback that this doesn't work for everyone (guess it depends on which version of software your phone is carrying), but I have mine set to "tropical" and the ringlight's work fine! Maybe under "sound settings" try also putting the event light setting's to "on". I don't know if this may help...but can't hurt! Good luck!! 🙂 Chris

No, as far as I can see you cannot set them for individual callers. I checked to see if you could even set them for the various groups...also no cigar. Too bad! 😢 Otherwise like you, I really like the phone! 😁

You have 4 setting's...Pulse, Energize, Mania & Beats. Unfortunately you can't assign a different flash to each caller or even each group! 😢 But let's say you set it to "Beats", because the setting of Beats will flash to the rhythm of the ringtone you've choosen for that particular caller, in a sense you do have different light's for each caller. Hope this helps! 🙂
