Problem: Don't want to buy v325 from Verizon!

😡 I hate the way Verizon only replaces their defective phones with "refurbished" ones, no matter how new the phone, or whether it's under warranty or not.

It's a rip-off, IMO. They do that even if you bought your phone 5 minutes ago!

That's why I prefer buying through a retailer who offers an extended warranty, such as BestBuy.

Any suggestions how to get this phone from a reputable retailer, either in a store or online?

Thanks.

Not that this addresses your question, but if you actually bought your phone 5 minutes ago they will in fact replace it with a new phone, as part of your 15 day "grace period".

I wouldn't trust my local VZW store to give me any replacement phone!

But I'm sure you're right, in theory. Thanks for the tip.

I guess the problem is, phones that are faulty don't always screw up in the first few days, but often will show their true, crappy nature well before a manufacturer's warranty period has expired.
