Motorola E815 or LG VX8300

Ready to upgrade from my way old LG 4400 and would like some opinions on these 2 phones. I know the LG is not out yet (June 5, I think) and the Motorola has been around for a while. As for the Motorola, all the user and professional reviews I have read (enough to make my eyeballs hurt) are highly rated with very little negative. However, the LG is an unkown out there on the web, so I have based my thoughts on reviews of the LG 8100, which is also highly rated. However, the LG 8100 is consistently rated slightly behind the Motorola. My experience with my current, way outdated LG has been exceptional. I am leaning toward the LG, but with no real user reviews out there, I am just not sure. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

E815. Best cell phone ever invented. The ONLY negative is the old-style 2-pronged charging port. So what. The keypad is awesome. Reception is unbeatable. I like the meatiness to it as opposed to the RAZR which kept slipping out of my hands. E815 no if's, and's, or buts.

First off, E815; definitely NOT the best phone ever invented.

Second... there are far more negatives than the charging port, how bout the fact it freezes up all the time and always flashes blank white screens? Or maybe the fact that while it may display great reception all the time it is EXTREMELY inaccurate and drops more calls than any other phone I have ever owned (and there have been quite a few)

Furthermore the keypad which is hardly a selling point is ok at best and why is the fact that is is "meatier" than the Razr relevant in any way OF COURSE THE RAZR ISN"T "MEATY" IT"S CALLED THE RAZR BECAUSE IT'S "RAZOR THIN" and that is the only reason anyone would buy it also.

Anyways the answer to the original question of which is the...

4.14 review rating from over 300 users. VERY few phones match this rating. But, to each his own. Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers.

I have owned the e815, for about a month. I was reluctant to buy another moto, because of a dismal experience, with the v265. When in the store I asked alot of questions, the manager who sold me the phone said he owned both the e815 and the lg 8100 he really liked the 8100 but it could not match the reception of his e815, he was going to reactivate his e815 because he lives in a fringe area and the moto was the only one that would hold a signal in his home. My previous moto was junk, but had great reception, I also had an lg 4400 it was a tank, I loved that phone, but I broke it. My month with the moto has been great, moto software can be a bit quirky, but has not been a problem so far. Remember every manufacturer can put out a batch of...

Your response could've been written by me Bakemike. I had a 4400 and loved it. Now own the E815 and love it even more. No land line. No dropped calls. 😁

the e815 is the better choice in my opinion. i have not experienced any of the problems "phonescoop1" described. i know several family members and co-workers who have this phone and its been problem free. my 2 cents...

I went with the 8300. Have not had good experiences with Motorola in the past. Not to say the E815 is not a good phone. My 8300 is getting much better reception than any other phone I have ever owned. Best thing I found to do was talk to the Verzion tech reps in the back of the main stores. These people give you the real deal when it comes to repairs and/or problems. The 8300 had just come out so there was not enough data on it yet, but I went with it anyways.
Best thing to do is give both phones a try for the 15 days and decide for yourself.
