Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
Who has bought the E815 just recently??????
I am looking for anyone who has just bought this phone. What is the build #? I have a E815, that I purchased in August. I have always had the echoing issue in the earpiece. There was a software update that came out 2-3 weeks ago, but it did not fix the echo. I have the chance to either exchange the phone for any other phone Verizon sells right now, or just get a new E815. None of the new phones, even compete with the E815. I was waiting for the Razor, but I will pass. Please tell me if you have had this issue or any others.

I got mine on tuesday. I was also waiting for the razor so I got it on monday and took it back tuesday. That phone is garbage. No complains with my E815 love it. I dont hear no echo of any kind. If I was you I would get a new 815 because that would be the last verizon motorola phone that would actually look like a motorola not an LG. Im taking about the UI.

I just purchased one on Friday and I am happy to say that I think this phone is the best one Verizon has to offer!

Both mine and a coworker's E815 are echo free.
My S/W Version is 8720_01.17.03, with a PRL of 50463.
Only real issue is occasional freezes when using VCast or the WMV player.

I had the echo issue and exchanged it once and never had it again. So for now, the 815 will do 😁
