Deteriorating E815
I have gone through SIX E815's so far. The first 3 were due to manufacturing defects noticed within the first day.
The last 3...they all started out great, then anywhere from 2 weeks to a month later, they start to go downhill. This latest one I have has ALL sorts of issues. For example, when I get a new voice mail, it doesn't just beep once, now it beeps continuously non stop like a fire alarm (and not, not every few seconds, but continuously). Also, in any menu that has the "done" soft touch button, it will not work no matter what, yet it shows it is being depressed by the image on the phone. I had the age issue with my V710s, went through 3 before I finally was authorized an 815 as replacement. My last 710 did the message thing, as well as would switch randomly to analog, loosing calls, menus wouldnt work properly. all sorts of things

the new lg 9800 looks like a very good phone, but some might not like the shape , sort of like sidekick 2.
It does look like a nice phone...but it costs a lot more. I got my E815 through my company for $59...I don't know if I could "upgrade" my phone like that. I think Verizon would allow me to swap for a similar phone though.
