Deteriorating E815

Has anyone else had a problem with their E815 deteriorating over time?

I have gone through SIX E815's so far. The first 3 were due to manufacturing defects noticed within the first day.

The last 3...they all started out great, then anywhere from 2 weeks to a month later, they start to go downhill. This latest one I have has ALL sorts of issues. For example, when I get a new voice mail, it doesn't just beep once, now it beeps continuously non stop like a fire alarm (and not, not every few seconds, but continuously). Also, in any menu that has the "done" soft touch button, it will not work no matter what, yet it shows it is being depressed by the image on the phone. Other issues as well...all hardware/software r...

No real issues with my 815 so far. Aside from it resetting when you reply to a text message.

I had the age issue with my V710s, went through 3 before I finally was authorized an 815 as replacement. My last 710 did the message thing, as well as would switch randomly to analog, loosing calls, menus wouldnt work properly. all sorts of things

This is my last go with these. My boss has a Razr, if he likes it, I might switch companies to get that (unless verizon gets the Razr here soon). Otherwise I will say screw it and just get a normal, nothing fancy phone.

Honestly...because when it does work....it works great! Great signal strength, voice clarity, battery life, etc. I keep hoping the next one will be better. But they just seem to deteriorate...but they are great at first.

Also, the first 2 were manufacturing defects as I mentioned (or maybe it was 3) that were seen right away, those were also when the first batch had just arrived in my area after the E815's release. I figured just a problem with the initial release.

Also, I have not seen a phone comparable in features that works any better. Have you seen all the horror stories with the VX8000 and ...

It does look like a nice phone...but it costs a lot more. I got my E815 through my company for $59...I don't know if I could "upgrade" my phone like that. I think Verizon would allow me to swap for a similar phone though.

doesn't seem like it matters if it's Motorola, LG etc. Most companies make these things so cheaply... and with crappy standards apparently. So you never know what you're going to get - maybe one that works great, maybe a crappy unit. Bottom line is make the things as cheaply as possible and get the customer to pay as much as possible...

Wow 6 phones!
I had mine since july 3rd and no problems with it.
Also most of the people that got it when it barley came out didnt have any major problems either.I guess that they made them better 3 months ago.
Good Luck with your 7th one 😁
