Going to the 710 from what phone? 😕

The 710 is a good phone, has many of the same features as the 815 and better than many other phones, just not as good as the 815 in some respects.

First, why would you go to the 710 over the 815? Price? Yes, the 815 is more! It mainly depends on what features you may want to use. If you want just a good phone, then both are good but reception has been reported as better on the 815. However, the 710 is tri-mode if that matters.

Camera? Well, both are still pretty poor but the 815 is a "little" better. Plan on using a regular digital camera if you want go...

With the 815 you can subsribe to vcast and watch TV clips on your phone. When you get the phone you get 30 days free after that I think the price is $15.00 a month or a pay as you go type thing.

One of the nice things about the E815 has over the V710 is that you can use the speaker phone with the phone closed, you cant do that with the V710.

Also the battey life is much better on the E815 then the V710.

You can also see the time on the E815 with the lid closed too, unlike the V710 where you have to hit the button to see the time.

Like jimspobox said, the V710 is a tri mode phone and the E815 is all digital. I have had both phones and the the E815 seems to be the better phone for me. I have yet to find a place where my phone ha...

I agree with most of what has been said above, but I can't say the V710 is a greatly inferior phone. As far as a PHONE the V710 actually has an edge in that it's tri-mode. Basically if you're in the middle of nowhere, analog will kick in where it won't on the E815. Otherwise reception is nearly identical, MAYBE slightly better on the V710. Camera wise, the V710 is good during the day, poor indoors and at night. The E815 is good in all lights. The E815 does have a nicer interface (cool skins instead of just color themes), clock stays on outer display all the time, and speakerphone can be used with the flip closed. Battery life CAN be better on the E815 if you live in a stable EV-DO area. If not, the V710's a safer bet. Aside from that, there ...
