I had the 815 for almost 2 weeks before trading for the 8100 for various reasons. I still get on this forum to read different things, make comments, give opinions, and also try to offer legitimate help to those asking questions that I can actually answer.

Anyway.....I'm am so sick and tired of seeing people on this forum continuously write back to me and others trying to give real help saying "get out of this forum", "I think your in the wrong forum", "dont' post unless you have the phone", and so on and so on.

Well, NONE of you on here are in charge of this forum, you cannot tell us what we can and cannot help with or comment on. If you don't like what we have to say, then DON"T READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!...

You're one of the few people whose posts are maturely written and you have good information. I enjoy reading what you have to post when it isn't bashing the 815 because you had issues with it.

Does this mean that I can/should go over to the 8100 board and tell everyone about my bad experiences with the 8100 during the 3 weeks that I owned it?

If you have information and/or experience with the 8100 or the 815, and you choose to inform others of this, then by all means do so. That is what the forum is for...to inform!
Personal or emotional attacks on forum members are not appreciated or productive.
Thanks, Jack

well said, Jack. The problem is that if you post on another board about how didn't like the phone for its various issues, you are personally attacked.

I figure why bother...it isn't worth it.

It all depends on how you post in another phone forum. If you stay with the facts of your experience, without emotional comments, then it is informative. No need to bash the phone because you will only get a major backlash. We have the LG VX-8100 (hers)AND the Motorola E815 (mine). I do get better reception on the 815 which is important to me. The ability to read text messages on the 8100 external display is important to her. Each to their own.

Mary424,

As someone who started with the 8100, then switched to the 815. I've spent time on both forums offering input about both phones to those whose ask. From what I've seen, your replies and input are always helpful. Even those you eventually chose the 8100 over the 815, I've never seen you bash the 815, and only offer your experiences, good and bad. I think those of us who did try both phones do offer the best input to those trying to make the best decision.

Like any dysfunctional family, we have a few trouble makers here. Don't let them get to you. Your input is always welcome here as far as I'm concerned.
