Getting pictures off phone via USB cable

Ok - if I buy a USB cable for this phone, do I need special software to access the files/pictures on it?

Sure - I can buy a transflash card and reader, but it's more of a hassle than to hook the phone itself to a USB cable and run with it.

Anyone?

I would suggets buy both. TF gets you more memory. With the USB cable you can edit the phone to accept bluetooth.
