does it play mp3 ?
Yes. I ordered a transflash card and reader from Motorola, recieved it today, plugged the reader in to my usb port on computer, put the transflash card in, put my mp3's on (which only took a few seconds), put the card back in the phone, went to media gallery, chose sounds, and there were all my songs!!!! Played immediately! It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

i would also be getting the palm 650.. it uses the sd card..u know any reader that takes both sd and transflash card ?

Most card readers take SD cards and most transflash cards come with an SD adapter. So if you get a transflash card with an SD adapter and a normal card reader, you should be able to use the same memory card for both phones.
PS. You can use an SD adapter with a transflash card because a transflash is much smaller than an sd card. Transflash also has lower storage than SD right now, its max is 512mb and the SD max is about 2gigs
