Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (MOK/MPT)
I have installed the mobile office kit and with the USB cable connected it will not detect the phone. Can someone please give a STEP BY STEP for how to set this up. I have done a live update with the VZ Access manager and everything. I basically want to be able to sync my calendar with my phone. Do I have the proper software? Do I need to get a mobile phone tools kit? Is there a difference between MOK and MPT? If so where do I get MPT, it was not available in the store where I got my MOK. I went on howard forums and I could not find anything to help me. Of course VZ tech support was of no help with my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Look for Enable DUN by sticky and this has everything you need.
Enabling bluetooth portion is good and verizon cannot get you for doing this.
Enabling DUN and using DUN on the other hand I recommend against. This is somthing they can and will catch you doing. When they do they will terminate your contract. See my earlier post "Don't enable DUN on E815".
I don't think DUN will make a difference. The software just insn't updated for the E815.
I'm amazed at how poorly Verizon is at implimenting this new phone that obviously was going to have high demand. No employee or sales rep seems to know anything and more than one has recommended this web site without me even mentioning it.
I think you'll have to wait for a software update.

We just haven't had that day where we all go to Bedminster for a company wide meeting and have someone from Motorola tell us every aspect of the phone. I'm sure I'll get that email any day now.
Sorry I gave you the wrong link.
