hi there out there.. it says in the manual that you can read texts and watch the bluetooth details as you hear them on the headset with the external display.. just wondering if i read it wrong and am interpretting it in the wrong way or is there a way to turn on the feature?

i don't know if you can read texts but i know you can read the bluetooth details for the headset that was the same feature they had on the V710.

i've tested it but it didnt work.. is there someway i have to set it up? i'm using th hs850 if that makes a difference.. thanks

Thats a bad headset. I had that one nothing but trouble same with a lot of other people. Motorola is bringing out the H500 thats the one to be getting it should be out the second half of this month. It has the same design has the HS820. While your headset and phone are paired up and connected you should be able to press the control button and say commands and than say call or digital dial or what ever command you would like.

I also have the HS850 Bluetooth headset, and have had no problems with it. I read your original post, and have the same experience with the external display as you.
Basically, when I use the Bluetooth headset, the Voice Commands work fine, but the external display just lights up: it doesn't display any "Bluetooth Information" as outlined in the instruction manual. I'm thinking it's supposed to show the name and number of who you are calling (like it does on the internal display), but for now, it just lights up. Perhaps this will be addressed in a future software upgrade?
