tightwad said that he couldn't get the phone to record 5 minutes, can any of you conclude that..is it true that it doesn't have 5 minutes with built in memory..let us know thanks! đ
The built in memory and expansion card option both seem to allow the same clip length. You can store more than an hour on the TF card, but you can't record that much at a time.
the "E815 recording a 5 minute video" would be awesome...hopefully thats what it does!!! đ đ

so are you saying that the E815 records 15 second clips and the phone can hold an hour of clips..or can the E815 record a 5 minute video?

Yes. I have about 25 clips maybe 2-3 minutes each on my 256k TF card and it is less than half full. Imagine a 512k card and do the math.
The Temporary Internet Files folder in Windows is a good source of video. View a scene you like and copy the file from there to the TF after you convert.

ok im not the smartest apple in the bunch so im still confused...can the E815 record 5 minute clips with the BUILT IN MEMORY??? đ
I'm not sure what you mean by memory because I don't know what goes into it, like RAM?
You need the expansion card to store a 5 minute clip.
You will probably be able to store much longer videos (limited to memory?) when using a memory card, as the e815 users are reporting now.

The v710 only allowed clips of 15 secs while using internal memory. Its likely that the e815 will be the same with the final firmware, if it isn't already. Possibly longer because of the 40mb of internal memory versus the v710's 10mb.

The 5 minute videos stored on the TF card do get sluggish.
Maybe the E815 will be better.

Some large movies get freeze-frames, most do not. I suspect that file size has something to do with it.
Does the card work in your PC, if so remove all files and start with a fresh format from the phone. Don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot.
If not see if they will exchange it wherever you bought it.
