Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

My text messaging is working but I can't get MMS to work yet. I'm supposed to meet up with a VZW tech tomorrow after work to work on my phone, I believe the http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms is not configured in the hidden phone menu. Unless someone know how to get into the hidden menu so I can get it setup before tomorrow evening, I'll be more than happy to get some video clips and email it to you so you can post it. I never used that feature for any of my previous phones, so I can't really give you an opinion. BTW, Maroot6, I don't have AIMs, that's why I have not reply. I'll also get some more pictures of the phone, but can you tell me what you are looking for? I don't want to take pictures just to be taking pictures. 🤣

There was someone on here that claimed they knew how to access the back door menu on the V710 and E815 but as soon as people started to ask for the information since this person offered it this person hasn't come back to post anything in this forum on phonescoop.com lol.

Do you have a TF card? you could use that.

Thats a good idea to use the TF card. I have a 256mb one but i cant get it to work right with my V710 right i don't take a lot of pictures or anything but I'm not real familiar on how to transfer things or anything to that extent any help with that would be appreciated.

First format it through menu, phone info, storage devices, menu, format. then you can move pics etc. to the card by going into the media galery, highlight a file and hit menu, copy or move.

Yeah, I saw the same message posted here about someone claimed to know the back door as motoman82 stated, but I haven't seen anything since, so, we can sum it up as BS. Someone in HoFo also claimed OBEX is working on his engineering model, he was able to pair with his Ipaq and see all the files in the E815. Well, I guess we shall see because I'm going over to Best Buy tomorrow to try it out on their floor demo. If it does indeed work, I'll buy the darn thing and take some picture so you folks and see it. Not to be mean or anything, I'm just the type of person that does not believe in anything unless I can prove it. So, we shall see. But I have to tell you, this phone so far is on par with the updated V710 without any major bugs that I can se...

I forgot to mentioned that another guy has the same software version as I did, and he was able to copy files back and forth between phone and Transflash card. I will be picking up a 256Mb Transflash card tomorrow instead of looking all over for 512Mb card so I can test that out too.

OBEX does work. I can connect over bluetooth with mine to my laptop and see all the files on the E815. Tightwad it is me ekemner I just use a different name here.

eckemner, great to hear from you. That's wonderful that you can verify OBEX does work so I don't have to go to Circuit City and try it out with their Ipaq. Can you give me some pointer? PM me at HoFo. Thanks.

i cant find a transflash card of 512mb anywhere. The most i found was 256mb. There is a different version of the transflash card but it wouldnt fit into the V710 its bigger than the normal transflash and the adapter is different as well.

The stepped when i was originally looking around and all was the format step but i just formated it i appreciate the help!

ok tightwad as for the vid's, i cannot post them so your gonna have to give them to someone else who can but i would love to see them thats why i started this thread. As for the pictures can you show the menu's, taking pics, taking vids, customization, ect.
