Transferring Calender Events?

Anyone know if it's possible to transfer events from the phone's calendar to a new phone? I'm guessing no, but figured it's worth a shot before I spend a while moving everything to my new 815. Thanks in advance!

It is possible. There is commercial software "Motorola Phone Tools" that allows you to copy your phone calendar to a calendar on the PC (e.g., Outlook.) You'd also need to have a way to copy to your new phone.

There's also the free software 'bitpim'. It will copy the calendar contents of your phone to PC. It works with E815 if you're running on Windows.
(I can't get it to work with the E815 and Linux.)
If it also works with your new phone, you'd be
in luck.

Oh. You also either need a USB cable, or you
need to get bluetooth communication working between phone and computer. I had that with MPT, but didn't try with bitpim.

Software like this also gives you a way to back up your phone calendar and address list routinely.
