Palm Treo 650 (CDMA)
$100 mail-in rebate from Verizon
I've seen a commercial 2 times now for a $100 mail-in rebate on the Treo 650 from Verizon. I went into 2 Verizon stores and they didn't know what I was talking about. I then emailed them and again they basically told me I was crazy. The first time I saw this commercial was late at night so I had thought with the responses that I had gotten from Verizon, I was possibly hallucinating or something. Then I caught the end of the commercial yesterday during game 2 of the NBA finals. I yelled as soon as I saw it so a buddy of mine saw it too, but like I said we only caught the end. Has anybody seen this commercial and know the specifics of the rebate/promotion? Or why Verizon won't acknowledge the promotions they run on television commercial...

I know that PalmOne has a$100 Savings listed on their website, but you have to sign up for Audible.com. Is that what you were seeing?

The deal was you would get a $100 rebate if you signed up for the $39.99 plan with the $44.99 data plan. I'm not getting the data plan so it looks like it's going to cost me $400. 🙄

BE CAREFUL! If you are going to retrieve email on your phone, I would suggest getting the data plan. The KB really start to add up. You use a lot more than you think. I don't do a ton of emailing on my phone and I would have been screwed had I not gone for the unlimited plan.

I am a business customer who was eligible for the $100 rebate on the 2 year plan. I was a little upset when I saw the ad. The Verizon CSR was nice and went and checked on it. It was Radio Shack or Best Buy only. It was intended to allow them to compete with the new-every-two which they can't offer. to existing customers.

first of all there isn't any mail in rebate on the 650 but for thr 600, but if you have a calling plan and want to add DATA Verizon discounts off the price of the phn, for example:
calling plan + 10MB $29.99, discount $50.00
calling plan + unlimiyed Data $49.99, discount $100.
