I am a current Verizon customer eligible for New Every 2 $100 credit. I am an independent contractor who uses phone for business. I was told by CSR that I'd be ineligible for business pricing because I don't have a Tax ID#. Anyone out there have any suggestions/tips on purchasing this phone at best possible cost?

To be honest, you end up getting it for cheaper with the New Ever Two as opposed to trying to purchase from the Business Channels. At least that was the case for me. Using the Business Channels the pricing is cheaper than on the main VZW website, however, they do not honor the New Every Two program.

You might want to wait a bit for the 650 to come out at a RadioShack store. That's where I got my V710 and they had a price that was $50 less than verizon with the new every two program. So check it out.

Thanks to all for the advice. Am actually going to order tomorrow from VW because they are allowing me to use NE2 plus a $30 coupon that I was able to get them to allow me to use. They also have a promotion that allows you to get 550 minutes for price of 450 if you sign a 3 year contract. Still get NE2 after 22 mos, so I think I may pursue that.

Not sure that statement is accurate. I have bought 2 phones off of Ebay and both are covered under the manufacturer's warranty at Verizon. They are both "Verizon" phones, that were new in the box - but there was absolutely no issue activating them and I specifically asked about the warranty...and was told it was whatever the manufacturer offered. No questions asked.
