Have you tried the theme generator for smartphones? It's downloadable from Microsoft.

You can still make it work with this phone...it just takes, as microsoft puts it so well, a little tweaking.

Bassically, it says create your theme then:

"Important: Do not click send to device when finished.

Prepare the theme file on your desktop computer
1. Connect the Smartphone to the desktop computer.
2. Start ActiveSync.
3. Click Explore.
4. Double-click the Smartphone icon.
5. Browse to the Accessories folder (\Storeage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories).
6. Drag the theme file to the Accessories folder. Note: If you want to put the theme on your storage card, drag the file to the Storage Card folder.
7. Disconnect the Smartphone from the desktop computer."

Hope that helps you and anyone else out. If you connect to the windows mobile website from the phone, this is one of the options available to read.

if you go into settings - home screen - then change your color scheme to the new name, along with the background image. I think there's another way, but that's the easiest way I can think of. 🙄

Did you go through the theme generator and put the image in there? There's not a way that I've found to make the settings find your pics...just gotta transfer into the right file with the theme generator...now you can mix and match your color scheme and background images, the pic just has to be put in that file.

you have to 'run' the file from the file browser as well...that way the theme will show up in that home screen menu...it will also activate it for the first time after it has downloaded it. I had problems with that part as well. .

press start, #, 5. now find the folder that the .hme is in and select it with the 5 way key. It will ask you if you really want to download it, tell the phone yes (with the key, not verbaly) and it will install the theme. That simple.
