Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon)

So FedEx just brought me my Audiovox SMT5600 🙂 and I downloaded agile messenger for it, which is awesome and I recommend BTW, and I noticed that when I am online it shows me as if I was connected to a computer not on a phone. Does this mean that I am only being charged for internet usage or am I being charged per instant message as a text message as well? I am on my company phone (I work for Cingular) so right now I could care less but for when I am on my personal it would be good to know.
