Internet Access Through PC Bluetooth Connection

Has anyone been able to get the 5600 to access the internet through their BT connection? After a little bit of wrangling, I was able to get my ActiveSync to work via BT.

So, I think I have it set up correctly, but I don't if it's using the GPRS signal or BT when it's connecting. So, that's the crux, how do you verify?

I am with AT&T and am on Internet thru BT right now.

First, you will have no pair the SMT5600 with your PC. The PC will see it as a modem and will assign a COM port to it. Few pointers:

1. The number your phone needs to 'dial' is *99# (Star Ninety-nine Pound).
2. There is no User name/password.
3. the above settings are for AT&T. If you have got this phone recently with Cingular, check their tech support.
4. No not list this connection as default.

Next, click on the icon you assigned for SMT5600 on your PC, and connect.

Finally, the data plans. AT&T charges $25 for unlimited mMode plan, where you can have unlimited access through your phone ONLY. If you use it as a BT modem for your PC, you will be charged extra. They also ha...
