SMT 5600, voice dialing
Voice dialing.
I was under the impression that you dont need to set voicetags or train this phone for voice automation. Does anyone know for sure and if so do they you know how to do this with out training the phone?
thanks

You don't have to "TRAIN" the phone per se. By that, I mean that you don't have to read sentences and paragraphs of dialog for the phone to be able to recognize your voice.
However, for each phone number you want to be able to dial, or for each phone function you want to be able to call up, you do need to record a "voice tag" that is representative of that number or function.
For example, if I want to be able to voice dial my wife at work, I would have to record a voice tag "Wife Work" for her work number. I could also record a second tag for her cell phone "Wife Cell" as well.
I understand that some newer phones require no pre-recorded tags and just perform a speech-to-text conversion on what you said and then look up the nearest m...

Thanks.
One more question. How do you activate once you recorded the voicetag?
Thanks again

I don't know how to do it from the phone itself, but from a headset you just press the headset button (the one you use to answer a call) just once and then wait a few seconds. After a few seconds, you'll hear a high-pitched beep. That beep is the phone waiting for you to speak the tag you are trying to call.

Press and hold the "Volume Down" button (side of the phone) to initiate voice dialing without a headset.

Greetings,
Does the Audiovox 5600 support voice dialing over bluetooth headset? I have a logitech headset and when I press the button on the headset the phone does not reply.
Thx

See the previous few posts on this. Make sure the keypad lock is not on. I use a Jabra, and I have to hold the button for 2 beeps, not one. Haven't had a problem voice dialing with it ever. Good luck.

You may also look into a program called Fonix VoiceDial. They have a trial version you can try, but my tests results so far haven't been all that good but it's worth a shot. In addition, I've got an email into the company to find out if there's any way to get their program to come up instead of the the build it voicedial software when you press a button on the bluetooth headset. Let me know if anyone wants the response to that email and I'll post it.
