SD camera options for Non-camera 6600?

I have been told that you can add an outboard camera via the SD slot to the non-camera version of the 6600. (even a mega-pixel one). Is this viable, and can you help me with the pro's and cons other than not being able to store picture onto an SD card because the camera is using the slot? Thanks.

I think you got the pros and cons figured out. Im looking to purchase a barcode reader for my sdio slot and am going to have to save the 'data' to the internat storage, THEN move it back....

but im thinking simply iBeaming or bluetoothing the data could be a possability if something around to grab the data and store it?

That's pretty much the only con.
These are probably the best ones on the market now.

I also found a cheaper deal as far as sdio cams on the dell shopping web site for around 80-90 dollars. (Just my 2 cents)
