I was decideing between this and the 6100. I have the v710 and it has an absolutely terrible camera and the flash is a flashlight(pointless!). I'm not real fond of getting another Motorola and LG has been known for some quality phones. My big question is does the V265 have a flash?

hm.. not sure if i would really call LG quality phones.. they're all plastic and it couldn't maintain a steady signal for me when i tried the 6100. it dropped calls all the time for me in areas where i get average to good signal strength.

maybe not all are quality but the VX6000 and VX7000 are very good phones.

The VX6000 and VX7000 may outperform this phone in a few categories, but as soon as the new product pricing drops or the first promo hits, you won't be comparing this to VX6000 and VX7000 anymore. It will be priced closer to the LG VX4500 which the V265 blows away.

What phone is better? Motorola hasn't released a quality phone on Verizon for a long time so I am really sceptical!

I've had the 6100 for three days. It has only dropped 1-2 calls, otherwise seems to do fine on reception. Main concerns: Sound quality on speakerphone is shrill/tinny. My LG2000 (not a pretty site, but very competent) had much better sound. Three questions: 1)are other 6100 owners noticing the speakerphone problem, or do I have a bad sample? 2) Is anyone else finding the 6100 contact-recognition feature on voice dialing to be inconsistently accurate? 3) How is the speakerphone sound on the V265?
Thanks in advance!

with regards to the vx6100, my main problem was the switching between analog to digital to no signal when signal strength is so-so in any area. as for speakerphone, ya, it does sound tinny. in the car, i had to turn off my radio or else, i couldn't understand what's being said. as for the contact recognition, i get it right 50% of the time. any feedback about the v265 after few days of use in terms of sound quality, battery life, and reception would greatly be appreciated.

Sound quiality is pretty good, speakerphone is in a bad place, back top of the phone, though loud enough that its very usable. Headset volume is better then my old v60s which got washed in the washing machine (causeing me to buy the new V) The reception is great, screen and camera SUCK
