ok, I've been reading the posts, and the battery confusion is about the only thing keeping me from buying this phone. has anyone figured out why there are differences on the times listed on the cingular site and the Sony Ericsson site? it would be greatly appreciated if someone could fill me in on the REAL talk time, thx!!!

I can tell you this regarding mine, as far as I can tell there is NO battery charge complete message given, I left the phone plugged in over night and it still says charging on the window.
The meter is full suggesting it has a full charge, and unlike Motorola that tells you
not to worry about over charging the battery Sony tells you nothing.
It seems you just have to keep an eye on it
and unplug when you think it's done, it doesn't tell you when it's done, not on my phone anyway.

The reason you see differences here is that most people don't understand how battery life works. The time SE gives is pretty accurate. They say about 10 days standby. What this means is that after fully charging the phone, it will last 10 days before needing recharge IF you DON'T do anything to drain the battery. Anything that makes the phone light up drains the battery(i.e. making calls, accessing internet, downloading, changing wallpapers ringtones, messing with menu, playing games, etc...). So if you start going through your phone menu, kiss the 10 days goodbye. This is true for all phones and all manufacturers. I usually have to charge every 2 or 3 days the way I use the phone.
