If anyone is able to answer these yet, that'd be coo:

1) The spec sheet on motorola.com says it can take miniSD up to 512megs. Now, is this limit imposed simply because there is only 512meg miniSD chips available, or will it still support the 1gig or 2gig if/when they become available?

2) I see no mention on the site that this phone will require the clunky MP3 player accessory, unlike ALL other Motorola phones. Is this true?

3) I want to be able to use regular earbuds for the MP3 playback, is there an adapter that converts the miniplug into a regular headphone plug?

I'm basically looking for a decent phone that:
- Has MP3 playback
- Allows for scaleability in the expandable memory. I want to be able to plug a 2gig chip in,...

There is no real reason why it shouldn't. I believe that the MPx200 stated the same thing, but it handled 1G SD OK. Hard to check without a miniSD in that size.

1) I think they just say that because a Mini SD card over 512mb would be way too expensive/overpriced...lol

2) As in the MPx200, you do NOT need any clunky extensions...a memory card maybe wanted though...which goes directly into the phone...

3) Really? I didn't know it wasn't the standard size...that reminds me of the 1900 series of Compaq PocketPCs...but I really can't seem to find anything about what size it is...do you know if they meant 2.5 or 3.5mm? Sinetimes 3.5 (standard) is refered to as mini...when 2.5 really is mini...anyway, I do believe there is a converter, I think I remember seeing one for the Compap 19xx, so it'll probably work on the MPx220...
