where can i get the 1.3 or the 1.7 i have the .343 and the earpeice volume isnt so great

I would like to know too. When I called Cingular Support, they said my version of .342 is the lastest and that if I have a problem with the volumn on calls, I should return the phone. I have read that some people in the forum have gotten support to mail a new phone to them. How did they do it??? Thanks

FWIW, I ordered the phone from Cingular telesales last Thursday (12/9/04). The guy said I should receive the phone this Monday or Tuesday (todayish) and that it was the new firmware but I was skeptical. The phone showed up the next day Friday (12/10/04) and the box had just the orange sticker. Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed.
I booted up the phone and guess what? It has the 1.3 firmware! I'm still not 100% sold on the earpiece volume, but it's 100x better than version 0.325 and the photo lines bug with BT seems to be fixed, too. Overall, I'm pleased with the phone and am just getting used to the differences between it and my SMT 5600 which I'll pass on to the other half to use as he prefers candy bar phones and I prefer fl...
