IF ANYONE IS HAVING VOLUME ISSUES READ THIS
motorola is aware of the issue and for the time being this is a temp. fix. Go change your profile to OUTDOOR. this will more than double the volume until motorola comes up with a fix.

This is maybe the most stupid thing I have heard on this site yet. The profile only changes the volume. I actually tried this and it does nothing. Motorola should have been aware of this issue before launch. Do they even check the volume. Idiots!!!

Iām experiencing the same problem. However, the problem seems to be intermittent. It will happen for no reason and the one remedy that I have found to work is to turn off the phone and remove the battery for one minute. Then place the battery back and restart. Obviously this is time wasted and a major inconvenience.

I work at a retail store who is selling this phone and we have found out that the problem is just a simple little piece of plastic on the earpiece. It is kinna hard to see, but if you look at the Motorola emblem on the earpiece and lightly scratch it, you will see it. Another way to improve the sound quality on the ear piece, is if you press the ear piece closer to your ear when you have it up to your ear.

are you kidding?
no offense i guess but is this supposed to be helpful? remove the plastic sheet covering the emblem which should be done anyway...? and hold the phone closer to your ear?
