Motorola MPx220
anyone have an issue with powering off?????
all,
I have had tghe 220 for about a week now and I notice that everytime I try to power down that the phone stays on! Not all the way on but enough so that the screen and keypad are lit and the outer display is lit with a motorola "M" logo.
None of the keys or buttons work when this happens and the only way I've found to power off successfully is by removing the battery!
Did I not read the owner's manual well enough? Any other similar experiences or suggestions?

are you powering down with the phone closed? i tried powering down like that one time and the external LCD stayed lit up with the motorola 'M' like that indefinitely.

Actually trying to power down with the flip open still does it!!!
I just bought a new one in Texas today and plan to take my original one back when I return home from business tomorrow....

I found that it takes a couple of minutes to power on and power off this phone. It's like a computer, taking time to shut down all apps before powering down.
