I have a question for anyone...
I currently have the mpx200 and the reception is horrible on AT&T. I can't stand having to leave my house just to be able to use the phone. Is thing going to be a problem with the 220? Someone said something about the fact that the 200 doesn't use the correct frequency. The other question is...has anyone ever had an issue with the speak on thier 200 being louder for some calls and quiet on others?
Thanks very much for your feedback

i have never used an MPx200 so I cant really say, but working for ATTWS, i know we have pages of "issues logs" on the phone for just about everything. to answer the other question, and some others in the forum, the phone works great with POP3 email, You can synce like 6 different email accounts with it, so it is definately nice. the 220 has some of the best call quality i have heard, and people on the other end have had nothing but good things to say about its quality. internet works superb, but is a tad slow, especially when leaving a WAP site and going to HTML. but everything else is great. hope this helps all of you.

The MPx200 is a dual-band (1800/1900) phone. In the US, phones can use 850Mhz or 1900Mhz. The higher frequencies can carry more data, but don't have as much range or penetration power (clarity inside your house) as lower frequencies.

The MPx220 is a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) phone, so it also works with the lower US frequency.

So, if your house is covered by both 850MHz and 1900Mhz at equal distance, you'd expect a clearer signal on the 850Mhz band, and the MPx220 can use that band while the MPx200 cannot.

However, you'd better find out if your house has dual coverage before buying the MPx220 just in the hope of gaining better reception.

I love the functionality of the 200, and that is why I won't buy any of the small clamshells AT&T has. My only issue with the 200 is the reception and of course the fact that you can't hear the speakerphone on some of the calls, some of them are so loud that I have to turn it down to eliminate distortion.

Also, with the 200 the caller ID is rather annoying b/c of having to put the numbers on the sim card so that the phone will display the number before four rings.

Thanks again very much for your input
