after some playing around with different tips etc on this forum i finally got mp3's working on the v710 using OS X.

1) In itunes, go to preferences and click the "importing" button and select MP3 encoder from the "Import using" pull down menu if it isnt already selected. Then select the Custom... "Setting" and select a bit rate of 60 or 96 or however you want to sacrifice quality for size. a 25 second mp3 at 60kbps is about 230k.

yes go Control panel then go to folder options then Click the tab view and scroll to you see Hide Extentions of known file types then uncheck that then go to the file and click rename then at the end you should see .mp3 well change that too .mid then send it to your self and it should work.
