349.99 out the door, 279.99 after rebate if you qualify, the form says something about it being a 2yr contract as a new customer, I am not sure if they will give it for 1 yr.

generally RS's rebates are for 2 year contracts only... I am going on information from may which is when I left the shack's workforce for greener (money wies) pastures...

The $70 RadioShack mail-in rebate is for 2 year activations OR upgrades. Basically whenever you agree to be with VZW for another 2 years you're getting the phone for $30 less out the door and on top of that you're getting a $70 MIR.

I went the Radio Shack route and paid $249 after the $70MIR. I also got another 10% for getting an RS credit card (to be paid in full at the end of the month!) plus a 10% discount for buying accessories at the same time...

Cost was 349.99, but did get the $70 MIR. FYI, they also hit you with $20 extra activatin ($35 instead of $15 w/ 2 yr). So the total cost increase for 1 yr vice 2 yr is $50 - $30 extra for phone, pluse $20 activiation. You DO still get the $70 MIR. (Rebate terms on my form: Purchase and activate a qualifying V710 at RS between 7/29 and 10/3 , Fill out original form, Circle puchase price on receipt, mail with original UPC from package and receipt. Postmark by 10.17)

Hope this helps-

(I upgrade too frequently - waiting 2 years was not an option for me!)
