I tried it, it works. Seems limited, cant't check movie times. Is the vzw network any different???

Are you sure the gateway ip is right. Mine says gateway ip 1: Then when I imput the numbers you gave it says.... each segment must be from 0 to 255. Help!!!!!!! Jen

Double check all the information. I had the same problem and then I realized I typed in the info for Port 1 incorrectly.

You shouldnt have to use any 0's infront of the numbers. I just spaced over after using the IP above and had no problems.

yes..they just gave the yahoo wap page as a homepage, kinda like paying respect to the server you're using..you can just as easily put any wap site in the homepage location..just make sure the ip and ports are as listed

as long as the webpage you're trying to access supports wap..instead of an .html, wap sites generally have the extension .wml..a language similar to .html but viewable on a mobile device...wml is basically a stripped down version of html for quick loading times on the slower cell phone connection..i use http://wap.google.com to search for compatible sites..that address is google's wap search engine..displaying results to wap sites..theres also an option to search the whole web...if you can't type a url in yourself, you can create your own wap site and provide links to your favorite sites..like mine: http://KDxPortal.webhop.net ..you can preview it on your pc with a wap emulator found here: the .wml is a wap extension, kinda like an .html is ...

This is a pretty good find. I have a Yahoo address book and can see my entries in WAP but when I go to click on one, the information doesn't show up. It also doesn't say "sending". Is Yahoo address book not working on WAP right now?

to enter a url, i go to wap.google.com and then goto: 'entire web' then there is an option to enter a url..also, take advantage of the 'take snapshot' feature in the browser, this 'bookmarks' the pages you visit frequently and you can jump to that page quickly instead of waiting for the page to load everytime

i set my homepage to http://wap.google.com since you can access all other sites from the google site..or make your own wap site with your favorite links for easy access..or on your first visit to a site take a snapshot and save it to your phone for quick loading time..you can take a snapshot of the url page and just jump to that page when you want to type in a url
