Battery life w/ bluetooth headset

I have the moto 820 headset and have noticed the phone battery seems to drain much faster then when this is in use then when just talking on the phone. Is this normal for all bluetooth products?

It seems that all small devices with bluetooth on, drains the battery faster. I i read somewhere, that bluetooth drains the battery 25% faster. 😁

20%, but whatever. P.S: Speakerphone drains it by 9%.
