Just to let you guys know who are getting free WAP, you can still get charged for data usage since you do not have a mobile web feature on your account....so be careful and good luck..

The minutes of use still come out of your plan minutes but at least you don't have to pay $5 extra a month for WAP.

the minutes of use DOES NOT come off your airtime minutes....the only way your phone will use your airtime minutes is if it uses a slower connection (Quick 2 net)...The V710 does not have this option as all phones are slowly moving over to the faster connection (National Access / Express Network) this connection does not i reapeat DOES NOT use airtime minutes no matter what the feature is called on you plan...

Prove it, I haven't gotten charged and I've been using it. What makes you think differently?

I also have been using free WAP since I had my LG VX600, then on the LG VX7000, which I had for 15 days and now my my V710 and I haven't been charged anything extra. No data charges of any sort...so...?

Just called Verizon. You DO use air time minutes for Mobile Web 2.0. He refused to answer anything about free wap. He said it was illegal. Although I doubt that, I am just passing on what he said.

yes i may have made it sound confusing....if your paying for mobile web then your ok just watch your minutes.....if your getting free WAP then at some point in time you MIGHT get outrageous DATA charges on your bill...just trying to give you guys a heads up...

look at it this way...You pay 4.99 for mobile web, the 4.99 is giving you access to the fast connection on the network...the amount of time your connected goes against your airtime....If you are not paying 4.99 for mobile web then your not paying for the connection that the phone is using, you might only be using your airtime while its connected but you are still using the network connection from VZW, thats how they charge you extra money for DATA...

There are no data charges, it's like being connected to "Get It Now" you use your airtime minutes and only pay whatever the application costs, if you buy one. No data charges.

I was wondering what are "Data" charges. What the hell is that? It doesn't make sense.
