Voice Recognition - Contact List

LoveMyPhone

A recent reviewer (jchabala) said that he/she had problems scrolling through contacts and having the phone "read out" the names. My phone does what he/she said his/her phone doesn't do. I'm writing this hoping that "jchabala" reads this message and takes his/her phone to a Verizon Wireless store to have Tech Support check it out. My husband's phone was having the same problem...no more!

You can change that yourself. Go to Settings-->personalize-->Sound Settings-->Phonebook. Then Select "None". I'm guessing it is set to "voice" now.

I'm confused too - I went to: Menu -> Settings -> Personalize -> Sound Settings -> Phonebook - and set it to "voice" - but that did not make my phone start saying the names in the phone book. Does this only work if you have recorded your own names?

You don't have to record em. They're just really low - put the phone to your ear as you scroll or put on the speaker phone.
