Phone and Bluetooth headset ringing at the same time?

riz

How can I get the phone and/or headset to ring at the same time? as of now, when the headset is paired and ready to make/receive calls, all incoming calls rings the headset only... I am sure I've simply missed something right? I need both to ring to hear it more easily ☚ī¸

Thx -

I don't have my headset yet but...

I'm pretty sure that if the headset is off the phone rings, and headset on the headset rings. I ordered the 810 headset specifically because flipping out the microphone boom turns it on and answers the phone. But the phone itself will ring.

You probably ordered the 820?

Well, I'm not sure how you all are doing bluetooth but this is how I see it... My logitech BT Headset has a standby mode but when the 710 and it are paired, it never goes into standby but is always'on'... basically if they are paired, the battery life goes way down on the 710 (as I've read here and howard forums) and the ringer only works through the headset... this is not good for two reasons: 1)It's not very loud if your headset is just sittng on the end table or something, you will not hear it unless it's in your ear 2)Customized ringtones are not used in the headset... this makes answering from across the room a random affair... I would choose to customize certain frequent callers by ringtone to identify them w/out CallerID

My crapass...

What's your opinion on the Logitech? I've read reviews that Logitech, Jabra and this no name brand called Epox (check newegg.com) are all better than the Motorola. Everyone in this forum seems to love the Motorolas though.

(the logitech BT Headset) I love it... for me, it's the comfortablity and ease of putting it on... it's simply, to me, the most ingenious way to put it on your ear... sunglasses on, no problem, long hair, no problem... while putting it on, you squeeze down on a little spring-loaded button that opens up the ear claw, then you simply throw it behing your ear and let go, the claw then slightly pinches down for a snug fit on your ear... it's also great for wearing on the V of your shirt, as the claw actually pinches down a wee bit onto your shirt preventing you from bending over and it falling off your shirt... I have never been a fan of ear headsets, have always wore the over-the-head plantronics (till now 🙂 ) mainly because the ear ones A)are...

Yea, hopefully. But why do they refuse to learn from their past mistakes? 1. The V600 came out more than 2 months before the V710. 2. Two weeks after the V710's intro under RadioShack, there was a S/W update. This issue should have been resolved then.

The software isn't the issue but what's funny is that they manufacturered the phones in mass amounts before all testing was done so even though they can issue software updates, they can't fix the hardware flaws before it gets into the hands of people.
