Motorola V710
Probably going to return my phone - kind of sucks....
I, like most of you, have been waiting for this phone to come out for about 4 or 5 months. The last month was pretty agonizing. So maybe I had just built up my expectations, but I don't think this phone is that great.
1. The camera pretty much sucks. So what if it is 1.2 megapixels, you wouldn't want to take real picture with it and basically can't take a pic indoors so what is the purpose? Those of you who say go buy a digi cam - don't bother replying - it is completely logical for a phone to have a high quality digital camera as well and we would all rather carry one device instead of two.
2. Battery life, text messaging, weight, Internet access - all important things to me and none have been improved over my T720 which came out ...

I'm on my awesome pocketpc smartphone...i load up a web page OOPS!!!! spyware...
I'm running AIM and i get a message from a bot OOPS!!! virus...
now i get to spend 4 hours trying to clean off all the viruses and spyware off my phone so that it works the same way i got it.

3. The next generation of phones based on Pocket PC with smaller form factors and/or the new flips with embedded keyboards are going to have a lot more functionality than this phone and will be about the same price. These phones are all coming out in the next 3-6 months.
Can you let us all know what CDMA phones that meet these specs are coming out in the next 3 to 6 months?

You are just a spoiled prick. Ok? Internet on a phone is f*cken retarded. The camera is good enough for a phone and i fond it pretty good. Text messaging. How can text messaging be improoved a lot? Not really that much. Get AIM on phone. Battery life is not that bad. Weight of the phone is good. I dont want a phone that is very light and i feel that i could snap it in half really easily. Get a f*cken smartphone.
