1a.) Can I download different alerts/tones using Get-It-Now?
2.) I'm trying to decide between this and the LG VX7000, are there any huge differences?

I doubt it. The price might drop around christmas, (but probably not.) It's actually cheap considering all this phone has, an MP3 player, GPS, Video recording and playback, 1.2 mp camera, removable memory card, speakerphone, bluetooth, etc. Trust me, it's worth the price! 😁
