I'm in Virginia Beach, VA. on business and I stopped by a local VZW store for VPC I left in my last rental car and the reps were playing with the v710. I played dumb and asked when the release date was and they said, August 11th. I asked how much and they didn't know, so they scanned it and told me it was $399.99 full retail, $299.99 2yr, and $349.99 1yr. They already received the mail rebate forms, which they had out-- $70. I asked if it was just a store demo and they said, no-- they received about two boxes = 20 phones. I guess it was a good thing to wait for VZW-- it's a little cheaper. $229.99 after MIR (2yr) or $129.99 after MIR (NE2). Just thought I'd let you all know if you didn't.

I called all the verizon stores close to me. All of them say the 11th. I think thats pretty much final. The phone is out on the 11th. Exactly that day. Forrrr surrreeee.

I'm coming from crappy Sprint so I cant do the NE2. My wife is with verizon though and just got the vx600 a few months ago for free. That made me pretty happy.
